- Stir altogether except for the canned vegetables,(tomatoes are the exception, those need to cook all day for flavor & never drain those!)… WARNING: this NOT something I'd leave unattended all day, rice is funny that way
- Put lid on crockpot & cook on high for 3 hours
- Turn down to low for the next 2 hours
- Now add canned vegetables; drained & cook until hot enough, I'd give it another hour
- Serve alone or what the heck a lil bread & butter never hurt anyone
